TXØDX DXPEDITION 2000
NEW CALEDONIA'S CHESTERFIELD ISLANDS (IOTA OC-176)
158° 19' East, 19° 52' South

The TXØDX team is gathering in Koumac, New Caledonia's northern port city, and is presently loading more supplies and equipment on the ship. The last of the operators should arrive in Koumac on Saturday, 18 March, New Caledonia time. The team now expects to depart for the Chesterfield Islands early Sunday morning.

While the early TX8CI IOTA phase of the trip will be shortened slightly from the original plan, the DXpedition team should be in place and ready to go well in advance of 0000Z 23 March. Pending the IARU vote, this is expected to be the magic hour when the TXØDX call sign will hit the air, and QSOs will be valid for the new DXCC entity of the Chesterfield Islands.
